Septic tank question
Bought an old home built before 1940, had an old septic tank which has a small capacity, concrete, it's also acting up as its so old, would like to fill it in and place a plastic tank with higher capacity beside it, do I need to get a permit for that? It's also close to my home and neighbors property line which may or may not be allowed, I can't find any specific laws on that but know in many jurisdictions there are rules on that. Im assuming the current tank would be grandfathered in but would simply replacing it also be grandfathered in or would I have to try to relocate it to another part of the yard, which i'm not sure would even be possible given the soil depth in other areas of only a couple inches before hitting bedrock
