I’m starving, but whenever I eat I feel immediately full, and then become extremely lethargic to the point where I feel like I could pass out. Please let there be somebody who’s been through or heard of this.

24yo Caucasian female, 5’2 160lbs, Adderall XR 15mg 1x/morning, IR 10mg 1/afternoon for 3.5 years now. Don’t drink, nicotine use through a rechargeable vape. Just started Omeprazole and IB gard which have not helped. Family history of diabetes but other than that, this is all new.

For starters, I’ve been having nausea and acid reflux issues here and there for a couple years, which I attributed to either taking my meds accidentally on an empty stomach or not eating enough during the day. Sometimes I get shaky if I don’t eat which goes away right after I snack, so I’m assuming that’s just a quick low blood sugar issue. But here’s my newest medical mystery happening. (Before we go any further, yes, I’ve seen my doctor who has me headed to blood work tomorrow and has a referral for a GI specialist, but that could take a month and honestly I’m not sure I can wait that long.) Anyways, recently I’ve been getting this constant bloated feeling in the middle of my stomach right under my rib cage in the epigastric region. No pain or anything constantly, sometimes a slight ache. It’s the feeling you get right before your stomach growls but it never actually growls. Then when I DO eventually get hungry, I get my food ready which is usually always some vegetables and chicken combination, I start eating and then within 5-6 bites feel disgustingly full. It literally feels like the food is so packed into my stomach that I could open my mouth and see it in my throat. In addition, the full feeling brings on some pretty intense nausea, which makes it difficult to keep trying to feed myself in fear of yacking it all back up. The weird thing after all this: as soon as I start to feel that full feeling, my body starts to feel really heavy, I get dizzy, and it feels like I could pass out any second. Sometimes it comes with a hint of slurred speech or difficulty forming words. But it always ends with me feeling tired, like the kind of tired when you should have gone to sleep 15 hours earlier. The stools I am able to have with what little food I’m eating appear to be fairly normal, they’re soft and not discolored from what I feel like I normally have. Sometimes I notice that the veggies I ate the night before didn’t fully digest, but I don’t know enough about each vegetable and my digestive tract to tell which ones normally come out a more chewed up version of what went in. I am so nervous of what’s going on in there, because I’m not getting enough food in me. I’ve lost 7 pounds over the course of about 12 days, but I’m not trying to lose weight. I’m exhausted, starving, and uncomfy. Has anybody heard of this? Will the blood work which will include a CBC, T4 Free, Hemoglobin A1C, comprehensive metabolic panel, magnesium, thyroid stimulating hormone, B12 and vitamin D total show any indication of what the hell could be happening? What should I look out for as it pertains to seeking emergency medical care versus my PCP? Thanks in advance for any and all help or guidance anybody can give. edit* I’d like to add in that I’m also nervous that it could have something to do with the mice in my house or the well water I have, as I live in a rented single family that is a year round Ramada for mice and pests with hard well water that is somewhere on the property, hopefully not close to the septic tank that failed two months ago. My landlord has done quick fixes on both, which all have been out-smarted by tiny mice brains and out-flooded by literal sh!t. Really I’m looking for a reason to send him to court but if these two house related things could have nothing to do with my medical issues then I’ll find my court date another way lol. At least this information is included in case.
