Should solids be cleared all the way to the street/septic system in one flush, or is it normal for them to hang out under the house until a future flush moves them along?

Have a house with a septic system where a clean toilet flush will push solids into the septic tank that have been chilling in the plumbing under the slab, meaning they aren’t being totally cleared with their initial flush down the toilet.

Edit: the house was built in 1959 or so, and I think the drain pipe is clay under the slab (it is where it enters the septic system). Given the depth of the pipe where it enters the septic system and the length or the run involved, I don’t think it can possibly be sloped anywhere close to 1/8” per foot. Likely just level/flat.
