Need more parking space

So, as the title suggests we are quite tight on parking space with the addition of a new driver. We have a two-car garage that currently holds my wife’s Honda Odyssey on one side, and a riding mower along with some other smaller items on the other side. The septic tank is literally at the end of our driveway, so we can’t lengthen it by adding concrete. We also can’t widen the driveway as it butts up to the property line boundary of a neighbor.

We are in a neighborhood with HOA covenants and restrictions. An outbuilding is allowed, but it has to meet certain size, code, and architectural requirements. Kind of a hassle, sure, but it just doesn’t seem like any contractor is interested in such a small project. We are talking probably 10 x 16 feet. The idea is to move the mower and various items to the outbuilding so we can get another car in the garage.

The wife mentioned just getting a tarp to cover the mower and parking it temporarily in the back of the lot in a thicket that would be mostly out of view. That’s really not a great long-term solution.

Any creative or outside the box ideas? Basically, we need parking for 4 vehicles.
